My CV

I was born in 1975 in Ankara. Around the age of 15-16, I turned to cartoons. I used to draw constantly, but it wasn't called a cartoon yet. In those years, I increased my knowledge in this field by meeting with the Ankara Representative Office of the Cartoonists Association, which was being restructured, and the world of cartoons and world cartoonists. In addition to the activities of the association, in order to gain theoretical knowledge on the art of painting during my university years, I attended the painting classes at the METU Faculty of Architecture from outside, asking permission from the teacher. I did not continue my own department at METU; I went to ITU. I studied Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering at the same time and graduated from both of them in 2005. During this time, I continued to draw cartoons. Many of my cartoons have been published in albums, magazines, television and newspapers. In 2016, my personal exhibition was held at Eskişehir Anadolu University Education Cartoons Museum. I have had many cartoon works in group exhibitions. Apart from these, there are many awards I have received from national and international competitions. As of 2013, I started to work as a member of the Board of the Cartoonists Association and I still continue. In addition, I was a member of the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Cartoon and Humor Center Executive Board in 2016. In the summer, I draw portrait caricatures in public in one of the tourism centers. My editorial cartoons are published in Cumhuriyet newspaper once a week.
